Hobbycrafts Show - Glasgow

We are exhibiting at SECC Glasgow on Thursday 23rd October to Sunday 26th October, you can find all the details here.

The opening times are 9.30am-4.30pm (5.30pm Saturday)

We would love to see you there, so if you are attending the show why not pop along to our stand and see what fabulous crafty goodies we have for you.  We have Jenny Redfern demonstrating for us Thursday to Sunday and also the wonderful Sheena Douglass will be demonstrating on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  On Sunday we have the lovely Diane Whitehouse demonstrating for us.

Tuesday 6^th May - Shaped Cards with Diane Whitehouse

10am - 12.30pm - £12.50

Diane is a wizard with coming up with new ideas for shaped cards and in this workshop you will be using some of the very latest designs from the Crafters Companions range of stamps.

This class was scheduled originally for March but due to unforeseen circumstances had to be cancelled

Saturday 10^th May - Sizzling Sizzix 3 with Sarah McCrossan

10am - 4pm - £25

This is one of three workshops with Sarah helping you to create stunning cards and a mini project or two. Each class will be showcasing the varying ranges of dies produced by Sizzix, from Framelits to Bigz dies. Create shaped and folded cards. Make your own embellishments to enhance your projects. Stamping and embossing techniques will also be on the agenda trust us you will not be disappointed.

Sunday 18^th May - Dabble Day with Carol and Sue - 10am - 4pm

£49.50 which includes £20 of crafting goodies for you to take away

Due to popular demand we are having another Dabble Day with Sue & Carol

Carol will be working with the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board, dies and rubber stamps. You will be creating cards, gift bags and boxes.

Sue will be working with stencils, paste, inks and mica pigments to create stunning cards.

Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment

Please bring along your own tool kit if possible i.e. knife, mat and scissors

Tuesday 27^th May - Delightful Stamped Cards with Sue Hobbs

10am - 12.30pm - £12.50

Join Sue today for a morning of stamping. Using some of the latest designs in rubber stamps. Make fantastic backgrounds to enhance the stamped images with inks, stencils and embossing folders. Copic Ciao marker pens will also be used in this workshop.

Tuesday 10^th June - Double Display Card with Diane Whitehouse

10am - 12.30pm - £12.50

Create a card with a difference using multiple techniques with lots of lovely stamped images in this magnificent card with Diane, using the latest stamps one of which will be a sentiment, dies and stencils. Copic Ciao markers and distress inks will also be used.

Saturday 14^th June - Jofy Designs by Paper Artsy with Susan Moran

10am - 4pm - £25

Susan, a highly accomplished stamper and card maker is a tutor new to Samuel Taylors this season. Please join her today to create fabulous cards using the Jofy design stamps and templates from Paper Artsy. Inks and chalk paints will be used to enhance your cards.

Saturday 21^st June - Bags Buttons and Bows with Sarah McCrossan

10am - 4pm - £25

Join Sarah for a day’s crafting with the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board and create cards, bags, boxes and bows, embellish them with ribbon, buttons, bows and handmade embellishments. Ideal for those extra special birthday and Christmas gifts for friends and family.

Tuesday 24^th June - Stencilling Techniques Part 1 with Sue Hobbs

10am - 12.30pm - £15 to include a stencil

Sue recently became a certified Dreamweaver tutor after attending a course with Lynell Howell the founder of Dreamweaver Stencils and is now ready to teach you some of the fabulous techniques she learnt. In today’s workshop you will concentrate on embossing paste techniques with inks and screens and will create at least two fully finished cards.

Join Carol for her monthly workshop to create cards using all the latest stamps, dies, papers and templates to create at least two fantastic cards

Tuesday 8^th July - Floral Fantasy with Diane Whitehouse

10am - 12.30pm - £12.50

Create two cards in this mornings workshop using bleaching techniques, (bleach will be used so it may be a good idea to bring along some protective clothing such as an apron as we cannot accept responsibility for any damage to clothing). Floral stamps and shrink plastic will also be used to create the floral fantasy.

Saturday 12^th July - Mica, Mists and Sprays with Susan Moran

10am - 4pm - £25

Ever wanted to learn how to create wonderful effects on your cards using mica, mists and sprays then this is the workshop to attend. Stencilling, masking and stamping techniques will also be used in this workshop.

Saturday 19^th July - Stencilling Techniques Part 1 with Sue Hobbs

This is a repeat of Tuesday 24^th June workshop. Due to the fantastic turn out last October we are happy to announce the following dates for our Dabble Days for 2013

Join us and be inspired and entertained in style whilst you complete three very different one and half hour workshops during the course of your day.

Everything you need is included, that means all materials, tools, your tutors and of course lunch, goodies and refreshments to keep you going throughout the day.

The tutors will be Melanie Heaton, many of you will know her from her appearances on Create and Craft.

Sarah McCrossan who is a demonstrator for Personal Impressions and on the Craftwork Card design team and has regular articles in various paper craft magazines

Our third tutor is Diane Whitehouse who is a regular tutor at Roseville Street, Brighouse and Harrogate as well as a design team member for Clarity and Sheena Douglas.

Each dabble will use different techniques either to make cards or a mini project. Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
