Stitch, Sew & Hobbycrafts Show - Exter

How do you fancy helping us on our stand at the Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts Show in Exeter?

We are looking for someone to help us on our stand 26th-29th September.  Also to help set up the stand on Wednesday 25th September.

You will help set up the stand, serve customers and use the till.

Materials

Stampendous cling stamp - Sweater Square

Diesire Embossalicious - 6x6 Embossing Folder - Let It Snow

Versamark- Watermark ink pad

Stampendous embossing powder – white

Anti-static bag

Heat Gun

Die cutting machine

8.5cm diameter circle die

9cm diameter circle die

3d foam squares

Piercing Ruler and pokey/pricking tool

White Uniball pigment ink pen

Red card stock

White cardstock

150mm x 150mm Blank white card


    Instructions
  1. Ink up the stamp using the Versamark- Watermark  ink pad, smooth over a piece of red card stock with an anti static bag and stamp the image onto a piece of red card stock.
  2. Pour the white embossing powder over the image, tap off the excess and heat with a heat gun until all the powder has melted.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 twice more.
  4. Cut a piece of red card stock 145mm x 145mm. The next step is optional, using a piercing ruler prick two rows of holes all around the four sides of the card approx 0.5cm in from the edge. With a white pen mark crosses with a gap between each cross along each side Mat onto the front of the blank white card.
  5. Cut a piece of white cardstock 130mm x 130mm and place in the ‘Let it Snow’ embossing folder and run it through the die cutting machine. Mat onto the front of the card in a central position.
  6. Trim the middle strip with the two reindeer's from one of the stamped images cut in half between the two reindeer's and attach across the middle of the card.
  7. Trim the second stamped image around the edges of the stamped area and mat onto a piece of white card 10cm x 10cm and then onto a piece of red card 10.5cm x 10.5cm. Attach 3d foam pads to the back and attach to the front of the card in a central position lining up with the strip across the middle of the card.
  8. Die cut a 8.5cm circle out of the third stamped image ensuring the deer are in the centre and mount onto a 9cm die cut white circle. Attach 3d foam pads to the back and attach to the front of the card again lining up the middle strip.
  9. Add your choice of Christmas sentiment across the bottom of the white embossed card in a central position.

Spellbinders Dies visual demo. Marvelous Squares Dies and Radiant Rectangles


In this post we are going look at a few card ideas created using Spellbinders Marvellous Squares die cutters S4 383. You can see from the image below there are 6 dies in the Marvellous Squares package (code S4-383) marked A-F.


Cutting out an aperture shown on A+C creates a shape within a shape and adds a further element to your design.

Bead pearl embellishment adds a bit of class to the finished card  (See A,B,C,D,E,F).
With the addition of a stamp in the card on the right here you can see we have created it using A,B and C plus the corners from die cutter D which further embellish your design. So its always worth hanging on to the cut outs as you never know when they may come in handy.

Also on this sheet are the Spellbinder Radiant Rectangles. S5-161 again with 6 die cuts. The key is to have fun with your design and mix and match to suit your taste as the possibilities are endless.

Demonstrator Wanted 

Are you great with dies? Friendly? Want to have some fun whilst making money?
Well you've come to the right place.
We are looking for a demonstrator for our Exeter and Newcastle shows, A good knowledge of dies is essential (especially Spellbinders and Memory Box)
You will help with the set up and the packing away then spend the show demonstrating for us.

Exeter - September 25th-29th
Newcastle - October 16th-19th
