Make and Cake Charity Event at Embsay Mills

For all your scrapbooking and cardmaking supplies We would like to invite you to our charity Make and Cake event taking place next Friday 7th October between 11am and 3pm at Embsay Mills. This event is to raise funds for Manorlands hospice in Oxenhope near Keighley. We have on offer fun mini sessions in Knitting ( It's National Knitting week 3rd to the 9th of October ) perfect for complete beginners as Shelia our knitting tutor will be sharing her expertise and showing you how to cast on and start simple knit stitches to create a fun mobile phone cover. We also have Katy who will be hosting taster sessions in cardmaking...come and learn the basic techniques to get you started or pick up tips to enhance the skills you already may have. Each session will be approx 1 hour long so if you would like a go at both there is plenty of time to do so..and there will be a £2.50 charge per session which will include tea, coffee and a yummy cake. Ultimate Papercraft Demo Day - Sat 8th October - Roseville Street, Leeds

Wow, it feels like Christmas has come early with all the packages of gorgeous new stock we have been receiving over the past couple of weeks.

Well thats because on Saturday 8th October at our Roseville Street Leeds store, 10am-4pm, we are holding an

"Ultimate Papercraft Demo Day"


We will have lots of demonstrators (at least 11) in store who will be available to give you hints, tips and lots of inspiration.  To name a few, we have Sheena Douglas - Paint Fusion, Claire Rowlands - Molly Blooms, Francoise Read, Julie Hickey, Sarah McCrossan plus many many more

We will also be selling refreshments on the day

October Challenge

Time for our next challenge.

This month the challenge is to create something for Halloween!!!! 

With Halloween next month we thought this would be a great time to start creating spooky things.  Whether it be a card, scrapbook, page or altered item, the choice is entirely up to you

The prize this month is a "Tim Holtz Configurations Box"

Knitting Week at Brighouse
Sunday 2nd - Sunday 9th October

During Knitting Week we will have some exciting events. All knitting sessions are drop in sessions so just call in anytime during the day and there will be someone here to help. Sessions run 10am – 4pm Monday to Saturday and 10am – 3pm on Sundays. Knitting evening will be on Friday and will run between 6pm and 8pm.Knitting on Friday evening is FREE to attend and drinks and snacks will be provided.

Sunday 2nd– Knit your own mini stockings (cost £2.50 for materials)
Monday 3rd– Learn to knit Pompon/ Cancan or Loopy Scarves (Bring your own wool or buy some on the day)
Tuesday 4th– Learn to knit socks or on four needles (FREE)
Wednesday 5th– Knit or crochet a square for RSPCA blankets. Squares should be approximately 15cm big. (FREE)
Thursday 6th– Knit your own snowman (Cost £2.50 for materials)
Friday Day 7th– Learn to crochet a square blanket (drop in session FREE to attend)
Friday Evening 7th– Between 6pm and 8pm we will be running our first knitting evening for those of you who are busy during the daytime. Bring along your current project or knit one of ours. There will be snacks and drinks provided and the evening is FREE to attend.
Saturday 8th– Knit for charity. Knit Innocent Smoothie hats or RSPCA blankets or mice. (FREE)
Sunday 9th– Knitting Day – Make your own Mug Hug (See in store for sample, cost is £2.50 for materials)

We are also excited to announce that we now havethe NEW Cancan Glitz in stock. This beautiful wool comes in various shades and has a metalic thread running through. Visit us in store to have a look or to ask us for a demo. It is just £8.99 a ball and one ball makes one long scarf.

Come and see Tracy make Tim Holtz style cards using the ever versatile Distress Inks. This demo would be great to come and watch if you have the Distress Inks but you are not quite sure how to use them!

Cost is £12.50. Make amazing Polka Doodles style scene cards. Created using a selection of stamps and coloured with the Copic pens

Scrapbook mini album with Virginia Mordey

For all your scrapbooking and cardmaking supplies

We have limited spaces left on Virginia's class this Saturday 3rd September, 10am till 4pm at Embsay Mills.

Create your own miniature scrapbook albums from scratch, so that even the covers match your scheme.

There will be guided ideas to help you create your albums and then you can let your imagination run riot to decorate it.

Bring your own photos in a variety of sizes.
Fee:£27.50 per person including tea, coffee and a lovely buffet lunch.
